Wireless iPhone Update
If your iPhone says that an update is available, press Install Now, or follow the steps below:
- First, connect your iPhone to power and use the Wi-Fi connection.
- Then go to Settings, then select General.
- Now, select Software Update and click Download and Install.
At this point, you will be prompted to delete the app’s temporary files due to more space for the iOS update. iPhone will reinstall deleted apps later. - Select Continue if you want to update your iPhone to the latest version right away and tap Install, or Later if you want to postpone the update, eg Install tonight or Remind me later. iOS 12 or higher allows iPhone to automatically update itself during overnight charging. To successfully perform automatic iOS updates, please follow the steps below:
- First, go to Settings and then select General.
- At this point, click on Software Updates and then Customize Automatic Updates.
- At the very end, activate Install iOS Updates. As a result, your iPhone will automatically update to the latest version of iOS. Please note that some of the updates may require a manual update.
Update using Computer
